Adventures were also a big drawing factor for us. One of our first adventures was to the pumpkin patch. It was a beautiful October afternoon. We strolled the aisles, each picked a pumpkin, got to know each other better and just enjoyed each other's company. You could call it our first date, but that's up for debate. It comes as no surprise that Fall is always a special time in our household.

After college, our early careers called to us, but it only drew us closer together. As we navigated life together, families met, love grew stronger and there were plenty more adventures to be had.

Through the years, our travels have brought us to Oaxaca, Mexico; Maui; Oregon; Washington D.C., on hikes; roadtrips; tandem scooter rides, hunting for hot springs; snapping photos of deer; and night-stalking coyotes (wouldn't recommend). But that's getting a little ahead in the story.

COVID in 2019 delayed our plans but eventually, we were able to move in together: a man, a woman, a cat and a dog – the perfect start of a family. We searched all around Los Angeles for an affordable space and somehow landed right in the heart of Hollywood. Starting our lives together was exciting. Through the inevitable ups and downs, we supported each other, appreciated one another and shared everything.

On November 29, 2022, surrounded by loved ones, on a beach in Monterey, Christopher proposed and Itzel said yes.

Three apartments later and eight years down the road from those inseparable college kids, here we are, ready to get married and start an eternity by each other's sides.
